    Fair price for heads install

    Have a friend looking to get the heads swaped out and was wondering what a fair price for that might be, on his GTO of course. Thanks

    its actually a pretty easy job, if you lived closer to me I'd do it for a case of beer.
    for a shop to do it I'd guess a couple hundred dollars. may Orion will jump in here and know someone close to you

    what part of ohio you in?
    mods: custom built twins, built 408 w/l92 stock GM heads,GM matching intake,drag bags,frame ties,aluminum drive shaft, performabuilt 4l80e,Yank converter,ohios fastest and quickest 04-06 GTO 9.52 at 144mph. 1.50 60ft on stock rear end and shafts/suspension,on drag radials.

    head swap is about 500 bucks + materials, then of course you need a tune

    I tryed to find some real world info on this .dmn shops are all closed right now,hell tune around here on dyno cost $500,in shops.
    My question to the OP would be are you not doing cam with these heads? or has this been done?

    Thanks guys that is what i was guessing is about 300-500 Plus dyno. It is a friend of a friend and from what i can gather he already has done the cam, if not then he is pretty stupid. I thnk he found someone here to do the swap if not ill PM you more info qwkgto
