engine running at high rpms

i just put a new throttle body on my car and since then it has been running at 2000 rpm when im cruising at 65-70 mph i think it has something to do with my torque converter not locking but i dont know why it wouldnt. help please!!!

What size throttle body did you put on on your car. If you had to install a plate between the throttle body and your intake it well cause your rpm to increase a little.

If there's a stop screw on the side, it may need adjusted out a little. Sorta like an idle screw on a carb, My BBK has one.

i put an 85mm and yea i had to put a plate but should it be runnin that high? cuz its killin my gas milage

yea it does have a stop screw so ill have to check that out too
