    Dip stick problem!

Has anyone with a supercharged goat have a problem with the dip stick popping out and spewing oil into the engine compartment? This has happened to me four times now and it's pissing me off!

Double-check your PCV setup; you're getting a pressurized crankcase. The pressure is building up and it's finding it's way out through the weakest spot - your dipstick.

Thats NOT a good Thing at all. You need to look in to a catch can with a open breather on it...

I worked on an LS2 a week or so ago that the dipstick was extremely loose on. It was almost like the o-ring was worn down or something. Is yours very loose to begin with or does it fit in the tube snug?

I replaced the ring and it still soes it. I think the pressureized crank case is the issue. I need to get it fixed.

Thanks for the replies. BTW, what's a catch can?

Basically it lets the oil from the PCV system drip into an aluminum can, instead of being re-circulated into your intake. Read at least the first post~long but GOOD thread; I'm N/A but may still do this in the future.
