Is your stop light switch not functioning properly - is it not staying 'off'?
CC will drop out if the stop light switch is 'on'

Cc won't work if your ABS is inop too.

Stop switch and abs work properly. Brake lights work as designed and last I had a scan tool hooked up to it there didnt appear to be any abs problems.

Some cars will cancel the CC if the brake calipers are hung up almost closed.

Brakes all work perfect. I actually just put rotors and pads on the front since the dealer I got the car from turned the rotors below spec and they warped bad.

This is weird. Have you checked the cables going to the throttlebody? Or the actuator(black box marked BOSCH) near the passenger wheelwell under the hood?

try checking your third brake light some GM cars cc will not work if it is inop for some reason the cc is tied into that circuit in some GM vehicles. Also if you can get a wiring diagram you could unplug your cc and use a test light to ck each cicuit and see if your switch is sending power to the cc module on the wire haness side (set,& accel) for ex.. Also i had a small issue w/ mine my grd. cable on my batt wasnt tight , & everytime my cruise would act up i ck my batt cable & it was loose again.

I am starting to think that the cruise module is either disconnected or shorted the more and more I read this thread.

I was kinda thinkin the same thing, i just wanted to run it by you guys and see if maybe it was a common problem. Everything works perfect accept for the cruise. I figured id fix it now cause in april per my fiances request we are taking our honeymoon cruising route 66 from OKC to Chicago and back. I have a feeling cruise will be nice to have on the trip.
