    Post Coolant Leak

    about 2 weeks ago i was driving my 05 GTO to a car show i pulled behind a vette so i smell coolant i stop i did see coolant leak around the water pump/crank shaft pully i took it to the dealer they did not find nothing wrong with it they sad no leak fund i'm not crayz ??? know it's leakimng more no idea where it's coming from Coolant TEMP is normal 188 to 197

    Make sure the surge tank cap is not hold pressure cause my GTO had a smell at times and it was the capseal was bad try that

    If you saw a leak near the water pump/crankshaft, then the pump is on its way out.

    The dealer most likely could not find it because they didn't fully warm up the engine before testing. Sometimes they only leak when they're hot. As stated above if you saw coolant on or around the pulleys it's most likely the pump. Very easy DIY.
