    Sarge,
Yea I have used the EBC pads with their dimpled & slotted rotors on my 2001 Ford Lightning Pickup and really do like them. It said in the installation instructions 500 miles unless you have an emergency before you use them in an extreme instance. But if it is to avoid hitting someone go ahead. And I could tell a difference in the braking with my truck after the 500 mile break in period. I give the pads and rotors a high recommendation.

EBC ... heeeeeeeeell no! I used EBC red stuff and they ate the hell out of my rotors and squealed like a pig. Not all was bad though, they stopped really good and had little wear. May just be me...but I rather replace pads then rotors. I went with Porterfields and couldn't have made a better choice.

Yea the yeller ones is what I got. The red ones are a little tough and they tell you that in the info on them.

Look at the edge and see how deep that lip is worn down. The new rotors have been on the car for twice as long as these were and there isn' even an lip worn in yet.

Those are the EBC red stuff, I didn't switch to the Porterfields until I put the new rotors on.

just put the car up on stands and tore into it. got the rears off. After the kids go to bed I'll take some pics. I wasn't aware the rear rotors on the 04's weren't vented. Are they vented on the 05/06 cars? Putting slotted/drilled rotors on and wagner pads on the rear. Just swapped out pads on the front a week or two ago.

I slapped a set of EBC yellows on my TA today. I noticed a difference in braking immediately.

I know it is a little late to post, but I have the red-stuff pads, and.....well...They are noisy, and I do get brake dust a bit. They are great with stopping though. Sarge, have you put on those Yellow-stuff pads yet? I heard that since they are intended for track use they have a higher operating temperature which would eat away at rotors because a DD would not get those temps? I want some more opinions on the Yellow stuff pads before I buy a new set of Red stuff.

Those look nice. I will have to try them the next time. As for now since I am a poor college student, I think I am going to get the EBC Ultimax ones just to be cheap and leave those on there until I get enough money to put some better ones on. I will definitely keep the Monroe pads in my head. Thanks for your input Sarge. Appreciate it!
