I have trouble with the passenger side. I have to reach over and lock it. The dealer told me it would cost roughly 500 or so to fix it. I decided to reach over and do it.

Your warranty will cover it if you are within the 3/36 frame. My pass. side started to act up when it got cold-first indicater was when I pressed lock on the fob, my horn beeped liked 5 quick times but that was just alerting me that the door was not locking. It did this @ 5 or 6 times and now is normal(so far)

I hope that it stays fixed because I really hate taking my car to the stealership and then to pray that they don't fug something up trying to fix.
I just read too many horror stories about them.

This may be a totally different issue, but I had problems with my automatic locks and had to use the key (which sets off the alarm -thank you gm). I have found if I point the key directly at the door, the locks work everytime. If I have the key in a different direction I have a hard time getting the door(s) to lock/unlock. Maybe I'm just on crack, but pointing the key seems to be the solution to my problem. Every other vehicle I have owned with keyless entry never had this problem. Just push the button and you were all set.
On a side note, is there anything more crooked than a GM stealership? If anyone reads this and is offended - tough. Truth hurts!

yup, bad actuator and for those lucky few that it "fixed itself". It'll unfix itself at some point. Mine did the same thing. It worked sporadically for a while then fixed itself then went out altogether and I couldn't even manually lock the door.

Took mine to the dealership yesterday, to fix a paint chip on the hood, and there is a TSB for the locks, They said the problem is in the PCM, so they'll have my car for 2 days(because they had to order it) I don't understand how it could possibly be in the PCM, seeing how it only does it when it's really cold outside. But oh well, the dealership has been preety good, and has not done me wrong yet. They even give me a rental car, a Grand prix GXP which is a nice car, and for everyday it's in the shop, it's less miles on the goat.

When they fixed mine it was the module in the door. They had to order it. I wonder if that's what they meant.

Yeah, First I thought that the cold weather was causing it but as it got colder, it worked better(for now). My warranty is good til 11/07 time wise and I'll most likly have them fix the next door lock gimp go round so they can REPLICATE the "not so common" problem.

maybe, but they said "PCM" so I'm not sure, but they put the new one in and they said it fried it upon start up, and the car wouldn't start or anything so they say, I'm starting to get pissed off now, because they said it won't be done now till monday, oh well they break it they'll fix it.
