Did the factory ever put a 427 into a GTO?

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
NO. 389,400, 455, and LS1 & LS2. I do not count the Ventura GTO because it was just cosmetic.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k

2004-2006
I should have said newer GTO's. I have seen a bunch of 427 04's on youtube. I guess they are all engine transplants.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
Not from the factory. However folks have dropped LS3s, LS7s, LSx427 and LSx454s in their goats.

The LS7 was an option for the Aussie version of the G8, it was called the W427. It was done by Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) and is extremely rare. I know its not a GTO but that's as close as it came for late model Pontiacs.

2000 Grand Prix GTP- 2000 Trans Am WS6 M6
Texas-Speed built it. Most of it was standard, off-the-shelf parts, except for the pistons. I had them made for high compression (11.8:1 static). If I would do it over again, I would not use cathedral port heads, but rather LS3/L92 square port heads. They flow a lot better, but they were a little out of my budget at the time. The price has come down a lot since 2011.
Basics of my motor:
- LS3 427
- PRC 237cc Cathedral Heads
- Heavily Ported FAST102 Intake and Throttle Body
- Custom Grind Cam
- 2" Primary Headers, 3.5" Collectors, 3.5" Custom Y-pipe, 4" Exhaust

Maybe in a few years I'll swap out my Intake and Heads for something better flowing than what I currently have.
