    402 Stroker

OK, here's what I have: forged 402 LS2 G5X2 comp custom grind 232/240 .595/.608 112lsa, L92/L76, Vararam. My numbers are 431/400 M6 on a Mustang Dyno. My a/f ratio at WOT is 12.8 and 28.5* timing. Peak torque at 4900 and still climbing at 6500 for RWHP. Is this low? It seems to flatten on the top. Is this to lean for a street strip car and what timing has anyone been able to get? I am headed back to my tuner to add some fuel and some timing if it will go. Please help I am opem to many opinion but want good ones. For what I have It should be a bit more i think. I see people with less around there.

Those flow over 320cfm stock correct? You have more in it than what your putting down. However the gto section is the wrong place you should post in the internal section so everyone can see what your asking.

Yeah but 50-70whp help? Cause you should be 480whp or more i would think with a 402 and that comp ratio and even the cam is a decent size, i mean it was on a mustang dyno but i have seen cam and ported stock head ls1 cars put down over 400whp on a mustang dyno.

i was just sayin that could be part of the problem. i dont know what intake he has that could also be an issue, and mustang dyno's are known to read a little low...

True, but he should still be at 450whp on a mustang dyno. What intake manifold are you running. If its a ls1 or ls6 the fast should get you clsoe to 450whp. 450whp on msutang dyno is like 480-490whp on dynojet and those numbers are more on par.

I don't think you're that far off considering it's a mustang dyno. That AFR is what I shoot for on the street but I might try another degree of timing and see what it does. 28 isn't bad though. Your tune numbers lead me to believe that there's not much there tuning wise to be gained because those are all pretty good to go it looks like....you could maybe play with the tune and pick up a tad more but I doubt it would be much.

Even Mustang Dyno's can have the numbers fudged... in the wrong way. To put this in perspective, I put down 416/375 on a Mustang dyno. Numbers mean nothing, if your stressing about what to tell your buddies that bench race... go to a EgoJet (DynoJet) and pull some numbers. Otherwise, brag to people about times rather then some silly numbers that vary greatly from dyno to dyno. They do seem slightly low to me, I want to see what you are running in the 1/4.
