    04 gto rear diff swap to 05 06 rear diff ?

    Hey guys can anyone give me info on what has to be done to put a 05 06 gto rear diff in my 04 gto? would apreciate any help , has anyone done this here ?

    Do the 05-06 still run the little 2 piece driveshaft like our 04s?

    can i just use another driveshaft from the 06? so i dont have to swap pinion yokes? thanks for your help man.

    I am not sure about that as I have never had to swap driveshafts. I had an 06 rear installed in mine last summer so I could have the original 04 rear rebuilt. Might work though if the output shaft in your trans is the same as the 04.

    thx dude i will look into it i dont wanna mess with the pinion lash unless i have to. thx did u install gears ? cammed goat in the 04 rear ? if so what ratio? what kinda highway rpm u getting if u did?
    thx im thinking bout these 390s not worried about gas its my toy.

    Stock gears. The original rear went on my way home from upstate NY two years ago. Howled like a mofo.
