WS6 vs "05 Monte Carlo SS

Well, let me say it wasnt much of a race. lol I broke the TA out of storage last week, been driving her around and stuff. I met my dad for lunch about 15 min away from the house. I followed him back to his house. But b4 we left Flap Jack, I said " hey lets run em!" he smiled like any 52 year old would who hasnt had much fun latley would. So as soon as we merged on to I-69 over in DeWitt, MI, we lined up at about 40 mph, did the 3 honk thing, and i let him go a bit then hammered down! Needless to say i was bus lengths ahead of him to 110.( I told him we'd run to 110 bc i think the ss cuts out around 108-110) Oh well, i knew id win, but it was still fun. First time my old man and i have ever raced anything against each other

Cool story .

Reminds me of a myself and Pops story,And he was 70 years old. He had a 03 Z06 ( which my Bro has now ) and I had a 94 A4 Formula @ the time.

I was at a corner store and Pops walks in . I said I'll see you at home and when I seen what he drove to the store I stuck around and waited. When he came out and seen me still there he got a shit eating grin on his face cause he knew it was go time.

We went down a back road and stopped for a dig run. I'm sure he left his traction control on . I unloaded too hard a didn't move and laid 40' of rubber . He had me by 10 cars in a 500-600' run. He stopped to talk about whipping me but I informed him what happened and we had to go again. This time from a slight roll he only took me by a car and a half in the same distance. He was giving my car props then as he didn't think it would hang as good as it did.

I am sure he had fun as it was probably his only race in that car ever. I know I had fun. We allways talk trash to each other and sometimes its fun to just get it done.
