Wrx Sti, My first Kill in the New Z-28

Well Ive had my car for a full day now and On the way to lunch Im at a red light With the sound system cranking when a Silver STI WRX pulls up next to me. Hes got his GF in the Car and starts Reving on me. So I get Pissed Rev the Car to a bout 3k and get ready to drop it at green. We both nodded our heads and I knew it was on. Need less to say I burned his ass by 3 to 5 car lengths. I felt so good To know My shit is still faster even tho the check engine light is on hahaha. He pulled up next to me with his tail between his legs at the next light and said "hey man thats a Bad ass Z", I told him it was all stock but he didnt believe me. GOD I LOVE THIS CAR HAHAHA!!!

i would have to say he didnt launch cuz the sti is crazy stock. off the line the sti should have took u if your stock.

Yea I was expecting him to too but he Bogged out off the line pretty good.

also i did react a bit faster once the Light turned green then he did.

No it shouldn't have.

STI's will only run neck and neck with an LS1 if you launch them near the rev limiter, and even then the LS1 is trapping much faster by the end of a 1/4 mile. Most people don't enjoy blowing up the drivetrain and frying the clutch on their $32K+ car, so they don't launch them hard, making them easy kills.

STI's are not even close to rice. There fun as hell to drive on or off the road. Try taking an ls1 off roading, good luck with that.

I hope you're kidding. You would have to be a fool to take a $32+K sedan "off road", it would get DESTROYED. Body kit would be in pieces, alignment would be off the charts, all kinds of control arms and chassis parts bent to hell. Its a street car, the ones that they use for rally racing are heavily modified and extremely expensive.

And yes, it is "rice", its a family sedan with a big wing and a fart can. If the STI and Evo aren't rice, then nothing is. "Rice" and "Japanese styling" are synonomous.

Where is Subaru From oh thats right, JAPAN!= Rice. I never said they werent fast but they just arent my cup of tea. P.S. I have taken an LS2 off road, It was swapped into a Jeep.

Im not into foreign cars myself as I own an T/A and a vette but I still respect what an Evo can do. Guy I work with has an 04 evo and will completely destroy my vette from a roll even and from a dig its not even funny. Put it this way my TA run's low 10's and its a close(r) race. Stock there running low 13's. Yeah there pos......

You need a reality check. People have their own opinions about things, there is no rule that says everyone needs to like or respect the same type of cars. I have absolutely zero respect for Evos, in my experience they are pieces of crap. Why is it so hard to understand that not everyone shares the same opinion or taste?? Thats ignorance.

230WHP and AWD stock?? How impressive, we aren't worthy. Sounds eerily similar the infamous 3000GT VR4, another abomination from the world's greatest automaker, Mitsubitchi

Thats all well and good that your friend invested all kinds of money to make his Evo fast. Doesn't change anything though, you can polish a turd all you want, it will still be a turd.
