    VIDEO! Z28(me) vs 5.0 Cammed

well guys... here's a video of me racing a buddy of mine...

he's got a 1995 Mustang GT 5.0L 5-speed, that's cammed with 3.73's out back... it doesn't have much yet... but it'll be tuned by mid december and we'll try again!

    ENJOY!

damn that wasnt even close but then again thats expected, stock those run about 170-190 rwhp and who knows depending on cam still wouldnt bring it close even with the gears. Good race though, not to make fun of the older stangs there fairly cheap and with enough money you can get them pretty quick as is with many cars.

What are your mods? I see an SLP lid in your profile...looks like he didn't do to well, lol. The SN-95 stangs are a good bit heavier than the fox bodies right? Low hp plus heavy car =

Edit: Wow 160 whp? Yuck...that's like a grand prix gt or v6 camaro...

The rwhp difference is just too much, its not just hp difference either the gearing and the quick revving motor of the LS1 also plays a big factor. At 238 rwhp its definitly good and thats a bit more then the 99-04 mustang gt's i apologize if im off on the years or numbers. With just an SLP Lid and A4 that was a really good pull on the stang good job.

    Good kill!

However, i'm baffled at how he put down 238rwhp with the stock intake and exhaust??? That number looks like a cammed 5-0 with supporting bolt-ons.

And was the 160rwhp stock on a Mustang dyno?

he put that number down... with all the stuff on it... to make power...EXCEPT... aftermarket Exhaust and Intake... so he already had CAM and all that jazz... which is how he raced me...

the 160whp was his bone stock run...on a dynojet

That is pretty pathetic. My buddies same year of 5.0 put down 225hp with an off road mid pipe, mufflers and AC delete.

he had stock exhaust and intake, the car was really held up... he put the Xpipe on there and the Flowmasters, and it's running WAY better... and today he got the intake and we'll try that one again...
