Track Time saturday, some kills, and LS1s RULE!!!

Went to the track this past saturday and it was a hoot. Never had my TA at the strip so this was the first time for me. It was pretty normal street stuff (test and tune night) and there were a lot of 14 second cars there. I ran a 13.004 at 112.8. I couldn't hook to save my life! Bad wheel hop, first and second were useless as there was no traction to be had on the street tires. Hitting third it would lose traction and wheel hop for a second then finally hook. Was hitting the traps at the top of fourth gear. Only got beat twice, once was by my friends 05 GTO (but I'd already beat him once) and by an EVO who ran a 12.97 to my above 13. He launched hard and got ahead early and I was reelin him in but didnt have the time to catch him. His terminal MPH was only 107 to my 112. I'd a had him if I had another tenth of a mile. I really really need to get some drag radials. I've been told 113 mph in the quarter is good for low 12s and maybe even a high 11. My 60 foot times were in the 2.6 range. I destroyed a 350Z (twice) some kind of honda, my buddies goat, some kind of toyota (honestly dont know what it was), and a stang of indeterminate year. One of my friends that showed up had a cobra with a kenny bell (sp) supercharger but it only rear wheeled at 360HP. I didn't line up with him but I had a faster time. Then the real tallent showed up in the form of a C6 and a newer SS camaro. It was funny that when the vette lined up with a supra turbo (which itself was ungodly fast) all the little punk ricers were mouthing off about how the vette was gonna lose. They dint have much to say after the vette ripped of a 10.5 at 133. The supra did a 12 something at 128 (he was sandbagging, I think). The SS then ran a 10.5 of his own completely destroying a 12 second civic which again, all the ricers knew couldn't be beaten by a silly american V8. I find it amusing that the import crowd will tell you with a straight face that an econobox four cylinder is a better performance platform than a huge V8. These kids watch too much TV. Anyway, a good time was had by all. Can't wait till the MT's go on.

Looked like a plain C6. I understand that the owner of Arizona Speed and Sound owns it. It was seriously BAD AZZ

Pretty much, 4 cylinder economy cars aren't race cars. The whole "Import tuner" scene is just retarded
