Stupid Ricers
There is a kid at my auto class that drives a Tibueron GT and he thinks it is like a super car or something. well i raced him in my 87' firebird that has the stock engine with 160k and leaks a quart of oil a week. from a 40 we were dead even, he didnt pull on me at all or anything. i was hoping that wouldve shut him up but then today he says he could beat another kid in my class with a stock lightning. i tried explaining to him that there was no way and he says he isnt affraid of losing he is affraid of winning because then other people will find modded lightnngs then he would lose. THIS KID IS A COMPLETE IDIOT! if my car is dead even with his, there is no way he could beat a lightning. something just doesnt click in there heads. just thought id share my frustration haha

The tib is a slow heavy car...

Cant you just slap him around a little bit? Seems to be the only course of action that seems correct to apply in this situation.

Tiburon's are worthlessly slow... How do I know? I had one. 2007 model, bought it new for Wifey. It was good on gas though.
However...contrary to popular belief, they cannot swim How do I know? Mine tried to

That is kinda funny, I had a 03 Tiburon GT for a DD that I just sold about 3 weeks ago.
My relatively stock WS6 would be neck and neck at the end of the 1/4 mile.
Assuming of course that as soon as the Tiburon launched, I would get out check the oil, verify air pressure in all four tires, do a quick hand wax and then finish reading War and Peace before running it down.
The Tiburon is still a fun car to drive, it is kinda like driving a go-cart every where you go. They are just not that fast, especially from any type of a rolling start.

I love hearing stories about these high school rice boys. Time to save up for an ls1. You would probably make him cry

he is one of those kids that watched fast and the furious way to much. He is one of those that will learn the hard way. he will get to a point that he will lose to many times and people will embarass the crap out of him. thats when he will start looking at facts instead of movies.
