STI Wrx

I am driving home from a friends and i see this nice white wrx up ahead of me so i spped up to get close to see it and of course the guy thinks i wanna race.

He gets on it and the car sounded good... he slows down to get even with me and we are doing about 75 and we go on three horns.... i pull two cars almost immediately and continue to pull till about 130 when i let off it by that time i had about 6+ cars on him


the guy was cool and gave me the thumbs up as he exited the freeway

Sounds about right. My friend has an STI, stock for stock they aren't any match for an LS1. After 100MPH you might as well get out and push the car lol, they have no top end, period.

yea he deff had some stuff done to hang even 6 cars back with you makin that power. nice kill

I had some idiot in an STi try and mess with me yesterday in traffic. The funny party I was in my beater, but he seemed hell bent on trying to prove his vehicle was superior. What a douche. Wish I was in the Z.

ya he definately had work done ive raced sti's when i was lightly modded and they were stock and i destroyed them i was actually impressed with the little thing

I raced a stock STI a couple of years back with my 93Z cut out closed with all the bolt ons and it kept up with the LT1 till about 110MPH but i was starting to pull. So against an LS1 i dont think it will stand a chance especially at higher speeds. Good kill OP

deff not. i raced a stock 2006 sti with my m6 lt1 trans am and all i had was a k&n and beat it pretty bad

they are rally cars period ...they will never have a good top end..unless rally car circuits have corner and straights pushing 120mph+ on dirt

Wow....lot of hate for teh STi's around here.....my bone stock car MORE than kept up with the resident 96-98 bolt on Cobra's around here..

the top end struggles a bit, but that's because it takes 4 shifts to get to 80....

I was just comparing it to "another 300 fhp" car.....

Heck, my STi was a 8.50's car stock int he 1/8....embarrased a couple LS1 cars from time to time....at the track

i was curious on how well i would do against an sti. I love those cars, would just like to take them down some dirt roads and beat the piss out of them...they seem so fun to drive.

Thats untrue, they fall on there face top end because the turbo looses boost its only at 10psi by redline. You put a big turbo and the right supporting mods and they can pull hard even on top end. But stock for stock a STI isnt that fast.
