Srt-4 Question

Didnt know were to post this at, so here goes. Just wondering what a stage 2 srt-4 has for power. Buddy just got it all done and has different exhaust,BOV,and the stage 2 kit from mopar. It's not a bad little car, too feminine for me and a 4 cylinder. Love my v8's too much to ever switch. He just got it and loves it.

it all depends... some stage 2's run pretty fast... I think Stone can Attest to that... with them cars...they don't need much to go fast since they are light... but they spin alot out of the hole...

Getting the exhaust was a good call. Stage 2 really needs the exhaust. I mean FULL exhaust (Turbo-back, not cat-back).

Also, do you know if it's been tuned or not? Stage 2 runs pig rich from the factory. Check his tailpipes and see if they're black. If he has stage 2 + exhaust + he's leaned it out with a tune, it should run with a stock LS1 and potentially pull on one depending on year/condition/a4/m6/driver/etc.

If all he did was bolt on a cat-back and add Stage 2 (BOV does nothing), that's not enough of an upgrade. It will be closer but a stock LS1 would still win.

Also last but not least, do you know if it's Stage 2 with toys or not? If he has the toys and is running race gas, then he will definitely pull on a stock LS1 due to the high octane mode.

Pretty much a stage 2 with moderate boost and full exhaust is a 104-107 trap car with a good driver. If he has toys with HOM mode he can lean it out with race gas a little but not much. Like posted before, stage 2 runs rich as hell b/c of the big injectors. So.....

Tuned Stage 2 w/full exhaust should be a 105-109 trap car
Untuned 104-107ish. Also have to factor in elevation/weather/etc. So it would be a decent race but a stock Ls1 car shouldnt have a problem pulling one at all...but it wont be a blow out unless the other guy cant drive

He has stage 2 with a tune, but no toys. Im not worried one bit of him even coming close to beating me, but was just curious what those cars had for potential. He got a good deal on one, already had a brand new tranny though... But I was impressed for what little money he put into it to make it a low-mid 13 second car. Not bad for basically a stock car. Thank you for your help guys.

Stage 2 tuned with no toys will be a good race from a roll. Im stage 2 no tune or toys but i have ALOT of bolt ons. My best time was a 13.2@109 with a best trap of 111
