Saleen?
So i got a friend in one of my classes and he drives a saleen(not supercharged), dont know what year- 02-04? He tells me all the time how bad he would kick my ass, but he never drives it to school. He talks about , hes put a bigger cam and others stuff to it. Today he happened to bring it. So after class we hit the freeway and i murdered him four times in a row. I had him by like three cars each time. All i have is a lid and exhaust, also automatic.

Black- 2003 Mustang Cobra
ya the 99+ Saleens are basically a GT with some suspension/brake mods for the most part. None touching near 300hp w/o the supercharger.
hey 02Ls1Formula, hope you know that the camaro/firebird are "Pony" cars as well.

yeah, but they don't have a horsie on the logo... only the Mustang does... so it counts as Horse meat... for the life of me I still don't know what " Camaro" means...but it must taste pretty bad...cause almost no one ever eats any of it...
back on topic... nice kill...and yeah... those Saleens are just basicly GT's... with a body... so... it was a very predictable kill for ya...

Yeah easy kill. If it's not the "Blown" version, it's basically a stock Mustang GT, with a few extra bolt-ons and more weight.

dark purple/chameleon- anniversary 02 camaro LS1
if the saleen is not supercharged then it is the 2v version of the gt motor:_) just because its saleen doesnt mean that it is fast:_) oh and by the way if he says that he put a bigger cam in it, the he is full of shit:_) these new mustangs from 1996 and up until present need 2 cams for the 2v gt (single over head cam) and 4 cams for the 4v cobra (dual over head cam):_) they are all modular motors, not push rod, and they are all over head cam: meaning the cam sits in the actual head assembly.

The 2v GT's have plenty of low-end grunt, but are also fairly easy to launch (especially when compared to our cars).
The blown version of the S281 is actually pretty potent, putting down 12-second runs all night long in stock trim with the right driver (i've seen it) - Plus you have to consider the ease of increasing power substantially with a simple pulley swap, and a few bolt-ons. But I bet your LS1 would have no problem from a higher speed roll, due to the two-valves low efficient top end.

Yea all those saleens are just an appearance package. Unless it has the blower it has no other parts different from the regular GT
But even with the blower it still slower then an ls1

The Saleen's are quite capable. The S281 "Extreme" is a monster. MM&FF took a bone-stock '04 S281E to low 12's. I witnessed my buddies MTI cammed/bolt-on '99 Formula M6 get embarrased by a stock S281E. The new one's are said to be even faster with 500hp from the factory. What else should you expect from a supercharged V8, huh?
