raced a new 5.0gt

Took my car out for a cruize friday night after de-winterizing it. Burnt off all old gas and refilled the tank. I was heading out for wings with the wife and pull up next to a 2011 5.0 mustang. It had a loud exhaust but thats all I could see, not sure what else was done to it but either way very nice looking car. My wife hates when I raced and is scared shi***** of my car so I had no intention of racing. But he just keep revving it up and then gets on my A** for a couple miles. Then I look next to me and he s reving and his boy has a camera on! Im like WTF! I look over at the old lady and said this will only take a few seconds. He beeps I started too low in RPM range and he gets out 1 car and I quickly reel him in then let off. So we go again this time Im more prepared, I put 4-5 lengths on him thru 3rd 4th gear. Im very impressed with how fast the stang was. I pullin the parking lot and he didnt follow, maybe embarrassment, idunno. So I never found out what was done to the car. Anyway, thanks for letting me post my kill here since there is nowhere to post my street runs in the evo community.

nice kill man and there quick but a little too talked up IMO. what all is done to your car? i ran a stage 2 sti the other night and only pulled 2 cars on him from a 30 roll so im assuming your faster

I got a built 2.0/comp cams/built trans,tcase/bigger turbo/last year the car made 601/529 to the wheels. the car is also lightened up a bit. I was really suprized that I didnt blow him away by more

I'm in the mid 10s with 550 rwhp. 10.57. My trap was..... I think around 145. i only got one shot. Then got flagged for no safty. (roll cage and stuff like that)
With 601 awhp, I'd think you'd be closer to 9s.

Thats an xtremely high trap for only 550whp and a 10.5. I doubt your car is as light as mine also. When I was at 530whp I did 10.54@135.
