Bottle Fed Turbo Civic Si

on my way home from kansas raceway watching the F1 cars qualify for tomorrows event i came across a civic si that looked pretty normal and stock besides the exhaust. he pulled up to me on the highway and revved and i thats when i heard the loud ass BOV and i see the lights from the boost gauges so im thinking oo its proboly pushin around 300hp

..well that was not the case he pulled up onside of me and did the 3 honk from about a 60 mph rol i pulled on him immediatley when we hit the gas by time we were at 100 he was at my bumper and at around 130 he closed the lead and walked past me like i was standing still..

i was in shock that i just had my ass handed to me by a civic. we pull over at the gas station and the guy was really cool he told me his mods were a full HKS turbo kit, running 15 PSI and a 100 shot of nitrous...i was amazed and a little more pleased when i found out his mods and that i kept up as good as i did...at least the guy was cool and not a jackass.....i think its time for some more mods

sounds like u had fun! well at least it wasnt riced out. (im talking appearance, cuz apparently this guy deserves some respect for performance)

and yea, thats awesome that he turned out to be a cool guy! that really means alot comin from a tuned import driver, it makes them (generally speaking) look less like asses.

yea it wasnt riced out at all it actually look really nice. just mad that i got walked lol

dont be too upset. im sure at 15 pounds and supporing mods he was around 300 or more and i assume since its a honda he ran a rather large turbo and so high in the power band he would have started spooling and making power. the nitrous probably helped his cause alittle too! it stands to reason you would have pulled on him at first because of the lag down low from a big turbo. plus he was probably in 4th gear too.

ah. get em next time. a 100 shot should take care of that....

My friend just built up his civics motor..heres a video..im narrating

It was a fun ride, its still not tuned but he'll get it there..No were are'nt ricers we both believe in american muscle..it was just a project car for him..enjoy!

Ouch ya I'd be a lil butthurt too. Them little sleepers are a pain aren't they? I think maybe just a 75 shot woulda taken care of that.

am i the only one that finds it funny that it takes 15#s of boost AND spray to beat our cars?

sucks you lost, but the money he's dumped in his car just to beat you makes me laugh...

aslo i had two 200 pound passengers(yes i know it was stupid) and two MTX 9500 12" subs so all the weight was killing me. if i would have been by myself without the subs i think i could have taken him...he pulled about 2-3 cars on me from a roll so it wasnt exactly that bad i guess

did he say if it sprayed????????? from everything u say im highly doubting he hit the spray....he was prollly at around 300 horse with JUST the turbo in a 2600lb car vs your 4000lb car with all your passangers

he said he sprayed me. because there is no way he could fly by me like that at 130 because i had a good 2 CL's on him from the start and then he passed me.
