    PEWETER METALIC
    2002 CAMARO Z-28 M-6

    Outcome: 96-99 4.6 supercharged Gt Vs. My 02 Z

    Ok so i have this kid a school talking a whole bunch of shit saying his cars faster yada yada yada, the usual BS. Anyway From what I could tell Its a 5speed Gt Stang year range 96-98. Its def not a cobra. However he is running about 8 PSI of boost confirmed by my buddy who did a little undercover spying for me. As well as the usual bolt on's.

    My mods are 2002 m6 z28=CAI, Kooks LT's, Ported TB, Air delete, full exhaust and custom tune. Unfortunatley I havent had time to put the heads or cam on yet.


    So what do you guys think? I know those cars only had like 260 at the crank so with the S/C Im thinking hes maybe max 300 rwhp. The Race is scheduled for This Friday night, Let me know what ya think!!!!

    Just drive good and it should'nt be a problem. I believe that those years gt's were pretty poor 4.6's, unless they have the pi swap, then pretty much like the 99-04's. Maybe a bit better, I think I've heard. Maybe look at his tires too and see if there drag radials, and ask what kind of gears he has..

    Hes got BFG gforce KWD's front and rear. So no Dr's. I'll see if my friend can find any info on the gears But to me it looks like hes got an 8.8 in the back which I believe was the stock rear on that model year.

    u got him!! those r when the 4.6 1st came out. those suck unless he has the p.i. performance head conversion installed which i doubt. stock supposedly 225hp. usual boltons maybe 250hp. non-intercooled supercharger maybe 340 hp at the crank. sorry for the mustang guy. this time a supercharger will not beat displacement!!! get it on film!

    a 97 4.6 with a pi head swap is faster than a 2000 gt just so you guys know

    They had about 220 flywheel horsepower stock. They were turds from 96-98.
    99 and up had 260 and were dencent cars.

    Allow me to educate you first, then you can make your decision. The 96-98GTs with a NON-intercooled kit will probably be around 300-320rwhp with long tubes, the same blower setup would produce around 10-20 more with an intercooler.

    Now the 99-04 cars with a non-intercooler kits would be around 360rwhp and with the intercooler, the 8psi kits have seen 400rwhp. The kenne bell, paxton and procharger kits can all see the 400rwhp mark.

    Its probably just a bolt on blower kit with a crappy tune putting down 300rwhp, you should be able to take him.

    Thanks for the education lol. Im gonna run him no matter what. I think Im a pretty decent driver so as long as I dont totaly miss a shift I'll be ok. Where at in ohio are you mogs01gt?

    With 8 psi thats roughly 100hp. On average blowers give about 12.5 hp per psi.
    Find out what all he has done, his heads can make a huge difference.
    We know he has roughly 320ish crank. at the very least.


    300RWHP, 341RWTQ
    1/8 mile 8.32 at 83.97
    1/4 mile 13.049 at 105.24

    subscribing... my girlfriend drives a 98 gt with bolt-ons from previous owner, and she has no chance with my camaro... I couldn't imagine a plain-jane supercharger increasing the power enough to make it a close race...
