i have a little money on a race i have setup with a stock evo 9, only has the k+n. no boost controller hopefully......
i am 99 m6 with lt's ory and cutout.
we are going 40-?? i put 50 that says ill be out by 100.
am i doomed?

the 4-cyl squad will be all over this, but i think you have a bit of a chance, as long as you know how to drive. PS, it's called an evo 8.

I can drive just fine, and btw it is an evo9.
Its most definately in going to be in 2nd, although some f-bod owners are telling me to do it in 1st.
I think it owuld be better to get traction btu who knows it may be faster to spin em until 60 or so.
Either way I am hoping it will be "peace out" when i hit 3rd.

So do you guys think I'd be better off dropping the hammer in 1st and spinning until 60 or just keeping full traction. It definately moves while theyre roasting but i dont want to lose ground to a 4 cyl.

it will move faster when its not spinning, trust

I think you will edge him out slowly at higher speeds. But i have never driven a stock evo9. I cant beleive hes willing to go from a 40 roll when he should win from a dig.

Exactly. V8's are king on highway rolls, especially the LS1, which has awesome top end.

You should walk all over his riceburning 4 cylinder from any speed, the only chance he would have is to run you from a dig since he has AWD.

Ummm not that hard. Rev the shit out of it and drop the clutch. I used to have and AWD it is fun. Well better for you anyway since you have radials.
