my z versus o4 cobra

first up 04 mystichrome cobra,2.8 pulley ,tune ,cai ,and exhaust should put about 450 at the wheels from all the dynos ive seen

my mods in sig,but these runs were on motor only

we ran twice from a dig
first run i jumped a few cars off the line and he finally caught me at about 100


second run i stalled my car up and jumped on him a little further and he finally caught me at 120

ive got good tires ,so he says thats why you got that jump on me and i say you want to see a jump let me turn this bottle on and make you look stupid,ive got a 200 shot waiting for trouble
that was about the end of that

anyway it was fun and always glad to get a run

not for sure man but i got guesses

i run dead nuts even on top end with a slightly modded c5 z06 and that cobra today pulls on the top end ,so i figure i gotta be about 400 at the wheels on motor to run with a 400-500lb. lighter car that makes about 350 at the wheels

You hit the nail on the head. People EVERYWHERE think Cobra's are unbeatable when the actual fact is they are easily beat. I love them and give them respect but they max out rather quickly with bolt ons, then big money needs to be shelled to get them past that point. I believe you that you took him. Its a drivers race and you where the better driver (plus tires) You can have all the power in the world but if you can't hook, good luck. I get nasty looks all the time when I tell Cobra owners that I am 3 - 0 in all time races. 2 where bone stock, 1 had cat back and intake. Had witnesses in my car and his. I will some day own a Cobra, but never getting rid of my F-Body to do it.

exactly... from a any kind of roll, i MURDER stock cobras, all day no prblem what so ever, and ive takin down modded ones too, its not like its a god or something.. i believe that you beat him easily.. what i find crazy is how he came flying by you (didnt really see what he had done) or maybe cuz your an auto idk. i have alot of respect for cobra's but for people that put them up on a pedestal

he came flying by because i have a n20 car and he has a blower so he has a good top end

I would have thought the termi would take you down low and the ls1 pull on top end.

Suprisingly to most, the 4.6 four-valve actually breathes very well on the top-end.
