My 99 TA VS 03 Cobra
My brother-in-law just purchased a 03 Cobra and said that as soon as he gets it home he wanted to race me. I cant get my sig to come up but ive got SLP lid/FRA/TBB/Comp 224/581 112 cam/comp 918s and PRs/ Hedman LTs with off road Y and exhaust. The Cobra has and aftermarket pulley, what are my chances from a roll or dig. never raced one and was just curious

might be a good match up...dont really know what the LS1 does with your mods, but I do know the supercharged modulars wake up big time with pullies

if your brother-in-law is "tampa stock" he's making anywhere from 440-475 to the tire.
you've got a decent cam, Id say you are making 375-380 to the tire. Tough call, only one way to find out. Guess you'll have to line'em up!
Good luck
Tom

Wow, that is a close one. Umm...you need gears dude to make it a done deal, otherwise it is gonna be TIGHT. Cross your fingers and hope he drives like sh*t.

Go for it. I raced 03 Cobra w/ a smaller pulley, chip, slicks and skinnies, full exhaust, intake, and NOS (he said he didn'y use it. I have full exhaust w/LTs and w/cats, custom cam, Lid, pulley, LS6 Intake, and 3200 stall.
I raced three times and each time beyond 1/4 mile, I was RIGHT at his bumper. A good set of heads, a larger TB, shift kit and gear, well maybe it would have different or he would be using the bottle like a baby at dinner.
I was crusing with the Stang club. I wasted other Cobras and lost to others as well. I was running with the stampeed. There were other M6's with cams, gears, full exhaust w/LT's mowing down Cobra's There was one heavly modded Z with NOS and he walking evrything!
Fun weekend for all. That's we buy'em. both are great cars.

no luck on a race yet and its almost been a week. the idiot dont even have insurance on it and he hasnt even checked to see what it will cost him every 6 months. he told me that he had already bought the car before even driving it, lets just say he has too much money and not enough sense. My sister, his wife, has a 35th ann. Z28 and he thinks that the insurance on that stang will be about the same as it, he is going to s*** his pants

I have no idea what yall are talking about but i do agree with Zap. Most people in here are talking about horsepower, but there are a lot other figures to look for. IMO torque and power curves play a bigger roll than just peak HP. Looking at a dyno sheet can tell you that there is a lot of diff between N/A and Forced Ind.
