Me Vs. 92 Eclipse AWD turbo (kinda long)

So I've been on vacation for the last 12 days and went "home" to see my parents for 3 days of em. Well as soon as I pull in to town(mind you I have all mine, the wifes and kids(1) luggage in the trunk not to mention Both the wife and kid in the car as well as being a little tired and worn out from the trip) Anyways I pull into town and stop at the first light there and hear some jackass in a first gen. DSM revving at me, so I just brush it off. Well I get home and it turns out he's my brother-n-laws brother and he's calling me out. So I say ok, unload all the luggage take out the spare etc. me and my dad hop in and head to where we were gonna race. We get there and it's bone stock, he's telling me it's got a "chip" and a "racing exhaust" and it's AWD so he's gonna kill me, well I tell him let's race for money and he said I got two fifty(fuckin retard), I only had 100 on me so I asked my dad to spot me(and told him not to worry)So we line up, he takes me off the line by about 3 cars(I spun hard thru 1st &2nd) finally I grab third and leave him like he's standing still, he said one more time, soooo , I launched a little softer and he had me by about a car for the first 60ft. and again I went around him like he hit his brakes, both times I won by 10-15 car lengths easily, so bad I could see his lights in my pass. side view mirror. We pull over and bullshit and he tells me he thinks he can still beat me LOL. Anyway he tells me he has so much power he can smoke all 4 tires, so I said let's see it. He dumps the clutch at about 6K and nothing..... and then a loud SNAP, I don't know what he broke but it woundn't move(maybe transaxle IDK) but he had to call a tow truck, fuckin hilarious. I have the video on my cell but can't figure out how to get it on the computer. LOL

Yeah I came out $250 ahead, I've been trying to get the vid. on the computer all day, but with no luck, maybe I'll wait till my wife gets home she probably knows how to do it. I'm not the best with these things.

I'm glad you guys got as big of kick out of as I did, Ya if he wouldn't have been such a tool and told me after we raced about how he still thinks his car is faster etc., I would have probably went back to my dads and grabbed the trailer along with the dirtymax and hauled his broke ass home.

Nice kill! Not only did you destroy him and take his money, you had to watch him tear his little thing to pieces trying to back up some of the SH*T he was talking! That's the typical ricer mentality....if you can't win the race, just come up with a good excuse and then try to do something that's perceived as cool.

Seldom do you find someone in a legitimately fast car bragging about how well they can spin the tires from a dig! In fact, for most of us on this site, wheel spin and wheel hop are two of our greatest enemies!

This is one of the best kill stories I've read in a very long time. He lost bad, twice. He paid $$ for the loss. He started with the ricer excuses. He destroyed his drivetrain out of his own arrogance. The only thing missing is his woman laughing at him and flashing you.

By the way, that's awesome your dad backs you like that.

Yeah my dad is awesome, he has 2 66 GTOs and a C3 Vette. He used to do alot of street racing back in his day and still does some if the oppertunity presents itself.

AWD DSM's aren't the slowest cars... I've seen many built up and hitting the 10's. Look up Shepard, he's in the 7's I think...

My girl's dad has a first gen Chevelle convertible that he's restoring right now. He's got all the chrome and lights off, the body is sanded and filled, ready for primer, paint, and clear. I'd love to go to a car show with him and park my Z next to it.
