ls2 gto
well i was leaving work and happened to be driving my brothers car, blue02Z. I am on the access road when i hear a car that sounded damn good and notice up ahead maybe a gto, well it was. i got behind him at the light and he kept revving it and playing with the clutch on the hill... Sounded damn good! i could feel it through the car lol had atleast 275's on it for sure. Well anyways crossin over the bridge to double back we get on another service road and i here that he isnt shifting, just letting that gear go way up into the revs so i hit it beside him and he flys by. he slows back down and i get beside him and we were doing about 45-50 so i put it in 2nd and honk it off and he jumped a little bit but after half of fourth i had a bus length or so on him. He stayed back there and never came up to me, i really wanted to ask him what he had done but didnt get to. great race havent done it in awhile finally got my blood pumpin lol. sorry for the novel

275s "sometimes" fit on the GTO.....ask me how I know?
Often they rub. Anything more than those and you need some different wheels and the 1/4s rolled and or cut. lol
Good kill. How fast is your brothers Z28? 1/4 time.....etc

yeah agree with wide tires on a goat, i have done multiple wheel/tire swaps with like 255s on gto's and they still rub with wrong offset.

as for 1/4 times i dont have any. best i have run in the 1/8th is 8.51 at 89mph and that was pedaling thru 1st and 2nd and chirped 3rd with stock size tires(245). that was also before LTs, catback, new cai, 4.10s and tune. haha car now has 118,xxx miles on it

Nice kill! Been noticing more GTO's where I live. Still haven't ran one yet, though.
Lt's,SFC,3,600 Fuddle stall,Spohn Adj. tunnel mount torque arm, BMR LCA,Ls6 intake,Air lid,Under drive pulley,S60 rear,Frost tune and a few more things I cant remember.

they are pretty much even stock for stock to our cars. The only ls2 gto's i have raced were definitely modded.
