killed a talon and pissed at a lighting

caught a light with a mid 90's talon fwd turbo he was totally stock, the car was kinda busted looking with some ugly graphics on the side but i havent run anyone off a light in a while so i got the itch. light goes green i hear him get a little screech of his tires i launched hard and tore past him putting many bus lengths on him by 80. it wasnt very competitive but fun non the less...
then like 2 days ago i ran into a lighting with all sorts of gauges and one of those whitty license plate i think it said daaaamn lol. i knew he would probably kill me because as far as i know stock lightings are mid 13's which is probably quicker than me and this guys was not stock as made evident later to me. but anyway i kept trying to goat him into running and he just wouldnt. then we caught a light together i thought for sure he would go. light turns green i launch fairly firm but not hard and he just take off normal i got so fustrated and felt a bit disrespected.

finally i get to where i have to turn and as i get into the turning lane he comes up beside me and gives me an ear full of supercharger, which to me confirmed his distain and disrespect for my car. needless to say i was rather pissed at least he could have ran me and had a reason to be disrespectful lol.

Sucks man, if the the guy in the Lightning was sponsored by anyone there's no way he'd run ya. If your sponsored and get busted street racing, the sponsors take away your little toys...

Well that's the way they come from the factory. I always here guys say it has a turbo or supercharger or it's got a V10 or V12 who cares. Why did you buy your car umm because it has a V8 why does someone buy a 4cyl turbo because that's what they want.

If you don't want to lose to a turbo/supercharged car don't race it then.

everybody take it easy in here. first of all it is a truck an weighs (just a guess) a little more than an f body. i think you would have been alright. i wouldnt ever put it past someone to run gauges in their car that serve no purpose whatsoever. a minivan can run gauges, some run off vacuum lines. the point is that he was too chicken shit to race which seems to be the constant for alot of ford owners. shake it off.

i never said i didnt like the SVT's. im a car guy. i love most cars. with some exceptions of All hondas except the Acura NSX. who doesnt like those babies. if i ran a ford for sport it would definately be a lightning or a terminator. there is allot of potential there. i dont think i would turn down the new shelby either.

ok, yeah it has a supercharger but its a truck, its allowed to, just like an srt-10 has a v10, with their weight that helps the power-to-weight ratio. so dont dog them for having the s/c. and Badbird, an 05+ mustang gt will compare really close to an f-body, stock for stock, and GTs, if your talking about mustangs, dont have 305 rwhp, their rated at 305 fwhp, pretty damn close to the ls1
