i ran a friend of mine tonight on the highway. he has an f body, maybe a 2000. 3200 stall, pacesetter lts y pipe and magnaflow catback with mickey t's out back and weld pro stars up front. i got pulled on by about two cars and i was in fucking heaven. nothing better than running fellow f bodies....

anybody else ever race their kin? how often?

nice death, at least is wasnt rice. i've never raced another f-body even tho i've got 6 other camaros. i've killed a few vettes tho.

ls1 kin is about all Ive raced, Ive beat 2 different stock m6 04 goats and a 2002 m6 Camaro SS w/ exhaust

ohhh I can't wait to run and beat a vette, haven't raced one yet. Its funny how they market the camaro as "The closest thing to a Vette, Yet!" Vettes look SO different! They look like they ought to be plent more fast than ours but they aren't. Or maybe we're just that fast!

I've raced a 98 T/A A4 with headers, cat back, lid and killed it 3 times from a 15, 30 & 35 roll. I've raced a 3rd gen with a 396 big block auto and beat it, but it wasn't running on all 8. I don't get to go the same way to often as they are. When I am they don't want to run me.

I raced a black Firebird out on the freeway. I must have been a WS6 because it had all the scoops and stuff on the hood. We were doing about 70mph. I nailed my Z28 and he down shifted and left me, going up a steep grade, like I was going backwards. Maybe I should have downshifted my A4? Would that have helped at 70 mph and where should I have downshifted to? I know my 69 Mustang becomes a real tiger when downshifted to "2" at speeds around 50 mph. How about the Camaro?

Yah, I raced a couple f-bods, an 00 Red Z28 M6 with a Magnaflow, and a white Z28 LS1, unknown mods except for what looked like a crapmaster on the back. It was pure walkage on both.
