killed a challenger SRT8 today

So i have the bird out for its weekend roll and im on I44 just cruising at 70 mph. I look in my rear view and see this orange challenger coming up on me. Im just thinking its a regular challenger so i bite on it. He got beside me and looked at me and i at him we both new what was about to happen by that i mean we are gonna race not me beating him. The guy also had his wife in the car to was around a 40-50 year old couple. So we both nail it at 70mph and my car jumps ahead immediatelly and just keeps pulling on him till we let off at 100. At this point i still thinks its a regular car until we slow down and he pulls in front of me and i see on his rear spoiler the SRT8 badge and was like holy shit did that just happen. So we keep on cruising and i pull up next to him and tell him that he has a bad ass car he says thanks and tells me there is a cop ahead of us so im like cool. Also after we slowed down there was this couple in a mazda suv type car that pass me and i look over at them and the guy and the girl was like all excited and was telling me that was badass. So i go to get off of the interstate and the SRT8 gives me a few honks and a thumbs up with a wave. Thought i would share with everyone my sunday. My car 98 A4 with LT, LID, ORY, Tune by Frost, LM2, lowered on sportlines.

nice kill!!!!!!!!!! dont know much about the srt8 times i know they are heavy cars but either nicely done

Nice kill, the SRT8's don't seem all that quick but its tough to tell cause Im always busy starring at their beautiful looks.

They are beautiful cars IMO, just need about 100 more HP to be competitive. Looks like 2011 they will get what they need. I hear the SRT-8 will be pushing 525HP for 2011.

looked at a fully loaded srt-8 plum carzy for 54000 was the sticker price but this was in Canada soo little more than the usa

The fastest stock SRT-8 time I have seen was 13.1. Never saw a 13.7, that's RT territory.

damn 525hp for 2011, lol. This is pony car war at its best. I have to admit the new 5.0 is impressive and now hearing the SRT8 upping the power is making things more exciting. Without competition there would'nt be these amazing cars that were soo lucky to drive and own.

About friggin time!!! They should never have even offered the stupid 6.1 Hemi in the SRT-8 Challenger, given its $40+k price point. They already had the 392 Hemi in the Mopar catalog prior to the Challenger SRT-8 release, and that is a proven 525-horse engine, perfect for a big car like that and more in line with its price so close to that of the GT500. That was the biggest let-down for me when the Challenger came out. Just my .02.

Awesome kill. Yeah the challenger srt8's are really nice cars. Kinda slow to start off the line, but they have some get-up-and-go. They are pretty big cars. But very nice. Hard to keep your eyes off them.

I took a bit of a beating from a Charger SRT-8 a few years back in my Camaro. It sucked, but I had a high-mileage LT1, so I didn't feel too bad. SRT-8s are sweet, just a bit pricey for what you get.
