;( IM sad. Anyways, ya i lost to a gT he was an M5, we went from about a 45 roll, and he had me by like 2 cars? I Dont know if my 02s being bad and mt TCS being on had anything to do with it but, either way I Lost OH well, I need to get my damn lT headers and ory on, then a tune.... but then i Will have to worry about traction probly... sigh.

TCS will only apply the brakes when you lose traction so it will have no ill affect. Your O2s could have a issue unless its just the rears.
Other than that it was a loss. But the good thing is you can mod up your car and go beat him in the future. Hell even if he had so much as a CAI it gives those 3vs a huge boost(20hp) as you have to tune your PCM which takes away the crap tune from the factory.

From a 40-45ish dig they run pretty strong, but how fast were you up to when the race was over?
I'd have I hard time believing you wouldn't have eventually caught him, unless he had some mods.

Did you consider that maybe he was modded? Stock for stock, you should have had the upper hand. Maybe your 02's did play a part. Anyways, you win some, you lose some.

Monterey Maroon Metalic- 2000 Z28
S197's are pretty strong cars, don't feel too bad. For him to get you that bad he definitely has some $$$ in it. They respond well to mods too but LS1's respond better! Bad 02's will screw with your AFR so that could be to blame. But, you will like the extra power you'll make after your mods and tune!

I used to drop from D to whatever when racing, but Ive seen tons of people on here say dont do it, just let it do it, its self, but ya it would have been better if I did it myself. So should i drop it from now on or?

I never shift my Auto from a dig but from a roll its usually best to start in a lower gear so you dont have to wait for the downshift. Right after I get in it I shift it back into D so the computer does the shifting and I don't start bouncing off the limiter.

ahh ok numbers just looked strange...I've seen terminator Cobras putting down 400 RWHP with just intake so the numbers looked like they should be wheel numbers.
