just need opinion on a '06 c6 vs. me
i am full bolt ons. dyno'd 331rwhp. 336rwtq(if i remember right) on a weak tune detonating due to plugs and fuel which have been changed. have a short throw and 4.10s. i have a bud at work which is about 55 years old, huge vette fan and is typical that everything else is inferior. he has an '06 z51 m6. bone stock down to filter and runs royal purple lol. well i am sure he is above average driver and i also think of myself as a good driver. just wondering what you guys think would happen if we went from a punch 30mph or 70mph?????? i know he will pull me on high mph i just want to beat him enough that he knows he isnt biggest dick at work

i just uploaded a video of me racing the exact same car as you described. and you and i have pretty much the same car except i had some higher dyno readings.

To Camarospade...I seen your vid. You raced from a dig and have DR's..this is probably why you won by as much as you did. You had him off the line easily as he was spinning.

i c i c. i just checked the vid. looked good, yep my dyno readings are low cuz i was detonating and had to retard the timing a lil. i am just seein what u fellars thought

what bolt ons u got on that ride just want 2 know i never put my ride on a dyno thats why i ask 2 see if i mabye got more less rwhp?

so we running from a roll or a dig ? if you feel comfortable launching then go from a dig. hopefully your gearing will help you. but he will be in a lighter car with good gearing also so it will be close. once in motion tho i think you will be out of luck.
what trans does he have ?

they come in at about 350rwhp and 350ftlbs stock so yeah hope for a good launch and for him to have a bad launch and he shouldn't have enough to reel you in before you cut out.

I c i c. Yeah he is a m6 as well. I am not going to try to set it up we just always pass each other in the morning cuz he lives south like i do and we go the same route, so it will prolly end up being like a 65roll

might i suggest a frost tune. cheap and you will be running a lot better than you did at the time of the dyno. assuming the tune hasnt been fixed since then. but even with the tune a 65 roll will not be in your best interest. aerodynamics and weight kick in big time after 80 especially in a vette. not saying you will hit a wall performance wise, but the vette will shine up top even if he was a c5 with similar mods as opposed to the ls2 he is running which should put more power to the ground compared to your z. tires dont make a difference on roll runs. unless they arent rated for the speeds you think you will hit.
