first vette kill, well maybe.

I'm driving down hwy 80 today and see a 2001 vette (I know because I asked him after the race) leaving a gas station. I've always wanted to race a c5 vette so I did a u turn, the guy gets on the interstate and I follow. It took me a while to catch up, when I did I just rode behind him about a half mile. I pull up beside him and at first he did not seem interested, but after I kept playing with him I guess he decided he was not going to let a ws6 show him up. I slow down to about 45 ish, he gives me the nod and I down shift to 2nd and immediatley get a 1 car length were he stayed until I shut it down about 120 mph. He pulls up beside me and gave me the nice race nod. I screamed out what year is your car? He motioned with his hand an 01. I then got off and turned around and headed home. I was suprised he wasn't pissed off that his car couldn't catch up, but he was cool about it. This was my first time to play with a c5 vette, pretty fun.

You know, I always thought cars came outta the woodwork to race my LS1, but I couldn't imagine all the cars that would pull next to me if I was in a Vette or Viper or something. It must piss those guys off everyday...

I know first hand how well a Trans Am WS6 can run, I can honestly say I`ve been in only one real "street" race in my Vette and it was against a WS6, he provoked me into running and although I beat him, passing him "slowly" at 154mph wasn`t a great win.
