First night with my Z

Ok so last saturday I bought my 01 Z28 M6. It only has SLP LM 1 catback and functional ram air hood. One of my best friends went and got his mustang while we were cleaning it up. He has an 04 GT with a Kenny Bell supercharger maxed on no intercooler at 9psi. He has 3:73's, off road h pipe, and flowmaster catback, and drag radials. Oh and its 5 spd by the way. So we go out and test my new Z out against him. We go from a dig and he just said ill go when you do because he knows I havent practiced launching it yet. So we go and at about 120, we get off of it and my front end is right about his back fender! I was so excited at this point. We did some roll pulls and same results. I didnt expect to win at all but was very very very pleased with the LS1 performance

Actually surprised he even beat you. Those 2v's are just complete garbage to mod..

Ha ha thanks Cole, Ill keep you posted! And also this was my first night in the car so I was shifting slower into 3rd because I wasnt used to the gear box yet (hit 5th a few times and ruined my confidence). He was very happy for me though, but yeah that is crazy that a mustang with a 4,500 dollar blower runs good with a near stock ls1. I was with him one time and he raced a bone stock 98 auto and raped him by about 5 to 7 car lengths though. I have owned two mustangs though and do still have a soft spot for them. ha ha, but this car is my first LS1 and I'll definatly stick with it.

I have shown a few imports what a V-8 can do with the old LT-1... I may get a wild hair and put a new motor in one of these days.

Ah, yes that is my plan. I am looking at the Harris Speed Works sudden impact wet kit. I plan on ordering it here within the next month. Very excited to see how the car performs with nitrous!
