First Kill w/ Camaro
Friday afternoon I pulled out of work and proceeded on a couple of two lanes towards a four lane highway that BTW was used for a Sat. night drag strip for years. Anyways, I see this 05-present mustang two cars ahead of me with blue racing stripes, quarter glass vents, 18's, etc, so I think to myself fly up behind him and see if he wants to go. By the time I get up behind him he pulls over in the right lane and slows to 50. Turns out to be a guy in his fifties driving his mid-life chrysler and he looks over and punches it. I was in 3rd and didn't have any time to drop a gear so just got down on it. I hit 6k and pulled 4th and noticed I was already 1.5 cars ahead. I stayed in it a bit to ~110 and checked pace again 2-2.5 cars. I let up at 110 and costed down to 60 with a big ol shit eatin grin on my face. On the way home I just couldn't get over how easy it was to pull on him......reading the kill threads of other experiences I would have expected it to be a closer race with some wiggle room for either car to win given driver talent. Thing about it was I know I would have put another .5 to 1 car length on him had I have been in 2nd. Maybe it would have been closer if we went from a dig. Anyways, first kill was good and want to get a few mods before I start running something more serious.

LS1 takes the new GT fairly easy especially from a roll.
5.7 Liter = with approx 300 hp to the ground.
4.6 liter = with approx 265 hp to the wheels.
cars weigh about the same.
I say especially your race sounds like typical results especially from a roll, because it alleviates any sort of bad start/ traction problems.
I say 2.5 cars from 50-110 is a bit more than I expected. But 1.5 cars would have been my guess.
I've beaten 3 or 4 of them myself. (all from a Dig though)
Congrats - and be safe out there. 110 is very fast on the street. I try and reserve that kinda speed for the track.

Suprised me. 110 came up real fast.......didnt realize I was there. Usually wont run that fast on the street....good news was this was a 5 mile straight stretch of 4 lane with nobody ahead of us....probably the only place I will run the car like that.
