    Finally!!!

    I finally got a "real kill"...a Silver 350Z

Coming home from class this afternoon, I was behind him in the left lane for about 5 miles on I-95. We finally made it through the "Wolf Pack" and had about 2 miles infront of us of open, clear road. I was still in 6th when I slowly pulled up next to him, on the right) to pass him. He didn't want me to pass him, so he accelerated to my speed (about 80) and hung there. I once again increased my speed to pass him (now doing about 85). He then accelerates hard...his car squats and takes off...I drop it into 4th and tear after him.

Long story short, I pass him about 10 seconds later doing about 130. I let off when I'm a car length in front of him. He comes up next to me and gives me a thumbs up...I waved back and took my exit, which I got to a lot sooner then I had planned to

I love racing people with non-asshole attitudes.

wow-- I need to get some balls-- I don't know about racing to 130 mph--
Don't get me wrong I have done it before - It just seems like the benifits don't out weigh the risks.

    stay safe-- nice kill!

very nice and i agree the risk doesn't out way the benefits but it sure is fun, I left work the other day some guy in a business suit looking at my 98 ss camaro like its a pos as he got in his m3. We both leave the parking lot and turn onto the main street. We both get on the on ramp for i808 south 2 lines bank around a turn then run into a straight away and turn into one he looks at me and guns it couldn't let that happen put the throttle down and was there with him in less then a second passed him around the corner then let off a little can still hear his bmw wide open i'm in 2nd gear at about 4500rpms when he catches with me he's still trying for it i wait for him to get next to me then put some gas back in it to match him I looked over smiled slammed the throttle do the floor threw it into 3rd and was gone. got over in the far lane put it in 6th and let it drop down to 75 ( was low on gas lol) he drives by me doing like 80 with a priceless look on his face. I love beating those ppl with over priced cars that look down on the muscle cars like there inferior.

Nice kill, was that one of the new ones? I see those around and have wondered how quick they are. Yeah definitely gotta be careful on 95 since they have those little area every couple miles for the cops to sit in.

Yeah, I know 130 is a little fast, but there was no other way to catch him. After seeing that post a few weeks ago about no one getting a 350Z kill, I figured I couldn't pass up the opprotunity (sp?).

It was one of the new ones, not sure about the specific year...

You can actually drop to 3rd from 6 at about 80-85mph, you would have really buried him then. Sweet kill.

i've never done that, i've dropped it in third maybe 65-70 tops and and she was turning pretty hard. at 80-85 in third it's gotta be turning close to 6,000 rpm's with 3.42's

HAHA! I know the feeling...even with 3.90s in the rear a drop into 3rd at 85 would likely result in me replacing parts after getting towed to the shop!

130 isn't that bad. That is what an 11 sec car will prolly trap in the 1/4.

That said, you aren't talking your way out of a 130 mph ticket, in any ZONE!

The road was clear, gun it dude. What I don't agree with is fkhds trying to goad me into a race in heavy traffic. That is an accident waiting to happen, and don't be the one who accidently kills some people while racing. You might give up racing altogether. If and when you get out of jail.

I am all for racing when only the two drivers are putting themselves at risk, but when innocent bystanders, or passengers are in the car, discretion is the better part of valor.

....Yeah, spinning the tires the whole way down the track.

OP: Good to hear you got a thumbs up. One got away from me once in the Regal on the highway lucky for him. He was harrassing an S2000 so I joined in. The S2000 backed off immediately and I caught up to the 350Z like he wasn't moving. Unfortunately, he got away in traffic and left me with all four wheels locked up behind some kid in a Sentra on his F##ING cell phone. He drifted into my lane without a turn signal or even a glance. I almost punted him into next week and he didn't even notice. Be carefull out there. 130 is fast no matter how you look at it.

close, it jumps to about 5500 just long enough for me to get into my power range and go into 4th strong.
