EE vs 467rwhp 04' Cobra
I say rematch because I always used to race this guy with my stock turbo setup. Everytime he would see me he would dash through traffic to race me. Not even once out of probably 15 pulls did he ever beat me over the course of a year. However, I heard he was telling people he pulled me. I think he even told my brother he pulled on me. The guy is pretty cool though, I think just a little overconfident.
Well, pulled out of TR Fitness yesterday right onto trusty ole' Route 37 and who is speeding up behind me.. yup.. it was him. Small stats on the car. Its pretty much full bolt-on, pullied, tuned. He said it made 467 or 469rwhp, I forget exactly, but that goes right in line with his mods.
Now before when we raced I was on stock turbo/pump gas and around 24psi... I would pull a little in 3rd, then hold the lead through 4th. We would basically stalemate in 4th gear with him not pulling me and me not pulling him but since I pulled in 3rd, he was behind me. How would I pull on him when he had around 70-80whp more? Weight. This guy is probably 250lbs, plus the Cobra has an extra 500+lbs on me.
Anyway, we did a 3rd gear pull and a 2nd gear pull. 3rd gear pull he claimed he was in wrong gear but we both took off with me putting car lengths on it pretty easily.
We came up to a light that had just turned green and we were slowed to 2nd gear... both nailed it at the same time.. I started to immediately pull pretty hard on him. Shifted to 3rd and just kept pulling pretty good. I shut down before I even got to 4th because I figured it would just be dumb to race up that much when he clearly was not going to win. I had about 2-2.5 cars on him before 4th. I was incredibly impressed to see just how much more powerful my car got. Usually I would end up only half a car ahead at the end. Its nice to see the improvement the extra power and torque has made.
He came up and goes "that thing is A LOT faster!". I was like yeah I know man! Gave him thumbs up and we parted ways.

No kit. It is a stock appearing bolt on turbo. Its a stock 2006 turbo with bigger wheels inside so it looks and fits 100% OEM. Any other upgrades require a kit and cost a lot more. GT30s, 50-trim, and the huge GT35R are the common sized turbo upgrades. My turbo is the smallest available upgrade but I think its the best.

are you running 10 sec on a 1/4 mile or low 11s? cuz the way you sound, you pulled easy on a mid-high 11 sec car.
what are your dyno numbers?

11.8-12.1 is what cobras with pulley, headers, exhaust, intake and a tune run, they make anywhere from 440-470rwhp. Most go very high 11s with drag radials.

we were talking about street tires aswell, also as long as were talking turbos i have a 62trim on the supra and moving on up to a PT-67, capable of 855hp. Will probably make around 650rwhp is what i want but hey 700 would be nice too.
