    Challenger SRT-8...disappointed

For all the money you pay I'd thought they'd be faster. I was headed home when the srt8 came up along side of me. Me in 6th gear at about 50. He caught me off guard and nailed it. So I threw it into 4th ...whoops, threw it into third..there we go and neck and neck we were and then I started pulling on him and had him by a half car. This was all probably within a 1/4 mile. I had to slow down cuz there was a car in front of me. I felt bad for the guy cuz he paid all that money and got beaten by an 8 yr old car. I have shorty headers, pnp TB, lid, filter. small mods

WOW, I had a silver one trying to get me to play today. He decided to cut me off after figuring out that a two lane road wasn't the place.

Yeah, those cars are pigs. Very sharp, but too damn heavy. I don't know why auto companies keep making their cars so frickin heavy?! God knows the insurance companies/liberal governemnt have to save us from ourselves, and turn our cars into 4,000lbs-5,0000lbs tanks.

They actually run a little faster than 14 with a good driver. Most of the ones I have seen at the track have been around 13.3-14.1 trapping around 104-105(stock). They look great, I almost bought one but decided on the Goat instead. Faster and Cheaper.

The 09 R/T Comes in a 6 speed manual. They are not all automatics.

And if you dont launch properly in an auto you can run a shitty time. It's not all about "pegging it."

Srt is only like 30-40hp more. I doubt it can be that much faster.

You act like it's not possible to roast the tires off the line in an A4 car. It's actually quite easy when your making LOTS of power on street tires.

I hate when people say that.

Amen. My WS6 will flat out smoke the tires if not launched properly. He probably has a stock LT1 in which you can floor it and go with no problems. I used to have to try to burn out in my 94 Z28 vert

I know what you mean. I use to leave the line full throttle in my old 2.73-geared stock Z.
