Camaro SS VS. 300ZX
I went out in the SS saturday night with my friend just to hang out, and we decided to go eat at a Denny's close by. On the way over there there was a cheap ricer trying to "race" i guess. He stepped on it and i opened up the throttle a bit and kept up with him. We were just walkin side by side and i guess he was trying to merge over my lane to miss the parked car ahead. When he realized there was no way he was gonna pass me he started to brake. So just to have fun with him i downshifted and slowed down too. Haha he had to actually stop behind the car and wait for me to go. We were laughing it up. Then my friend spotted another car up ahead so i steeped on it and we passed it up. Was a 300zx i thought nothing of it since all the ones out here are stock w/no turbo. But then we hear something coming up on my right and it was him. He then passed me up and then slowed down and went behind me, then he flashed his high beams so i had to. No way i was gonna back down. We lined up at the light and we took off on green. I had him in the beginning but then i realized he was messin with me when he steeped on it and i heard the turbo. We passed the restaurant at the next light but i t didnt matter. We lined up again and same outcome. Next time we lined up i just looked over and gave him a thumbs up. I just appreciate a good car when i see one.

300ZX Twin Turbo was my dream car back in high school (showing my age). They looked so far ahead of their time that they could be released in 2005 and it would look fresh.

Same here. I was going to buy a twin turbo 300zx before my SS but then the guy ended up telling me that the turbo charger was broken so i would have to rebuild it. So i figured it wasnt worth it if i would have to rebuild it. Plus other little defects on the car. So i passed up, thank god i did.

I raced one in my last car a Mercury Cougar all riced out. I called it my corn burner, because it is pretty much an American rice burner. Anyways the 300Z whooped my ass bad. His license plate said UD LOSE and I did.

The perfect plate for a Mustang owner would be UD WIN.

What kind of numbers do the 300ZXTT's put down? I figured an LS1 could take one..

I don't think that the 300ZX that he raced was stock, doesn't sound like it from the story.

Believe me, this was no stock 300zx. At about 80 he shot out and left me back there as if he had just started from a stop. I looked at me friend and say "what the hell is under there." I was in awe as he took off. He has that car hooked up really nice. I just wasnt able to pull next to him long enough to ask what he has under the hood.

Yea, I don't like Imports but that one is pretty sharp. I'd take that over a newer 350Z...
