06 PBM GTO(458WHP)SOLD!!- 06 TR GTO~476WHP 425TRQ
Bolt on GT-500
Punched from a 45 roll to 115 and he had me by about a fender. Damn good run!! Pulled over and talked to him for about 30 mins. He has LTs, pulleys and a tune. Made 54X WHP and 56X TRQ. Prolly would have pulled me more the faster we went. Pretty cool guy.

Dude down at the track one night had a 10 second one and spent less than 2 grand on mods. For such a heavy car, damn impressive....

Black- 2004 Mustang Cobra
Some stealerships are now selling them for 1-2 under MSRP. That would make it 38-40k. Do you think the 2010 Camaro will be much cheaper? All the rules, regs and safety features, it will weigh a lot unless Chevy uses Carbon fiber like the C6 Z06. Highly unlikely....
Yes it is a fat pig. That's the same thing people said about the SN-95 ---> '03, '04 Terminators. They still hold their own.

The only reason that they hold their own is because they're coming with enormous power from the factory. I can't wait to start seeing the GT500 foxes that with a pully and tune are running 9s.

When they first came out I saw several verts in the 55-60k range.

Just making the point that it takes a lot more power to make up for the difference in weight. I still can't believe that today's flagship mustang weighs 2 tons! What do they run stock mid-high 12s? They make 500 freakin hp! Doesn't that seem a little slow? For comparison's sake, the 505 hp Z06's are going 11s stock, and that's with a power curve that isn't as nice as the one put out by those positive displacement blown 5.4s. I'm just apalled at the weight of the cars. I won't argue their potential though, Mogs. They can be sick-fast for a little work. They come with strong blocks, and a strong rotating assembly. If I was to modify one of those Cobras, I'd take apart the short block, slap in new rings, bearings and a better set of forged rods, and then put a nice turbo kit on it. Then I wouldn't be afraid of making 900 whp and running low 9s. That's pretty sick considering that I basically redesigned my Windsor from the block on up to get the same potential.

Is it the one-wheel peel that makes you lol, or did I miss something?
