Cool beat a 'vette(early 80's model dont know

much about them, if anything at all). on the way home from havin my oil changed after work i noticed an older vette weaving in and out of traffic to catch up to me. he fiinally catchs up to me just as we catch an orange light. i glance over and he looks also. we bs for a min, then he says "betch you will get me off the line", i tell him i agree. as the light turn greens, he nails it and chirps the tires(instantly pulls a car on me), i just take off as i normally do. but this time i punch it and catch and pass him. by 70 i had 4 cars on him.

    first race, first kill

I have driven a few different years or that body style 85 to 96 I think they are fun and can be fast but you feel like your driveing a roller skate its tight in there and its easy to loose it if your not a driver (like most pepole on the road today)

couple months ago i did a highway run w/a c5. from about 50-120. we were dead even till about 80, then he slowly started pulling. by 115-120 his rear bumper was about 3-4 feet from my front bumper. i was completly stock then.

    The 1988 Corvette L98 was available with 240 and 245-horsepower and 340 ft-lbs torque.

The Z28/Formula/Trans-Am 5.7L in 1988 was rated at 230hp/330tq. You might be thinking of the L89 (5.0L) version which put out 195/295 in A4 trim.

Ahh that's alright. The L-Series engines have always been a bit mysterious.

Early 80s? Likely cross-fire injection. Mid 200s hp. Easy kill.
