99 bird for 06 gt

i got a v6 a4 firebird with free mods done to it.was wondering where would i rate against a stock 06mustang gt...my friends thinks that mustangs are america's car...anyone know the hp difference between a stock gt and a ws6 as well?

an 06 gt, unless your sprayin or boosted you wont touch it. they run around a 13.9 stock with 300 hp while the ws6 (ls1) is at 320-325. both are underrated but of course the ws6 will walk the gt all day.

I don't know how strong the new V6 stangs are I have heard very good things about them though. An 06 will poke you in the pooper, they're pretty fast, faster than most people on this site are giving them credit for

r u sure ?just cause i have a 6 doesnt mean im all that slow..mustangs are very overrated in my eyes...my friend brags how they are america's car and it just pisses me off.i love my car regardless that it is only a v6 but im sure i can beat a v6 stang

I know you'd walk all over the 99-04 v6 stang, but the new v6 cars I just don't know anything about so I can't give an answer on that one. when I said an 06 would poke you in the pooper I meant the GT, my bad I didn't realize I left the 06 out

06 GT's are going to be in the low 13's.

on the new v6 stangs one of my freinds had the first 05 mustang in the area, and stock with an auto he ran a 15 flat with it, i was actually surprised. i've seen the magazines get them in the low 15's. dont know how fast you are or what you've done. i know my v bird never got that low but i didnt have a lot of money to do what i really wanted to do with.

You'll probably be able to beat the v6 depending on what gears you have. If you have 3.42's with LSD then I think you'll probably would win. But if you got 3.08's with an open diff. then they might get you. Check your RPO codes for GU6 and G80. If What exact mods have you done to your car?
