Out of all these cars I have raced can you guess which one I did not defeat????
1. Pontiac Firehawk with a lightly modded LT1
2. LS1 GTO
3. LS2 GTO
4. 1999 Camaro LS1
5. 2000 Camaro LS1
6. 2006 BMW M3
7. Infinity G35
8. 2006 Mustang GT
9. 199X Honda civic
10. 2004 Mustang GT
11. 1997 Mustang GT
12. 199x Corvette (not sure if it was lt1 or ls1)
Well here is the list! Any guessers out there, The answer is pretty funny...............................2006 Torch Red GT 5sp

shorty headers
93 octane Diablo tune
C&L intake system
4.10 final drive
255/50/17's
PH aluminum driveshaft
Pypes offroad H pipe (removed due to noise)

dude, if you don't know what year the Corvette went from the LT1 to the LS1, you should have lost all the races and should now have to reply on Public Transportation. '97 is when the new body style Corvette came out with the LS1 engine. Any Corvette from '90-'96 had either the LT1, LT4, or LT5...

Tough crowd. Sheezsh! I guess I knew that with the new body style Vette came the LS1. I just never really thought about it. Did ya get toasted by a Civic? Sad day I guess. My second assumption would be the LS2 GTO.

ha!
Hey I used to have your attitude about ten years ago when I was 27, damn relax pal and dont get so worked over small talk! As far as Camaros are concerned the switch from LT1 to LS1 took place in 1998 and it was a little sooner for the vettes. I have owned all kinds of fun cars including two z28's, a grand national and now my first mustang and I am having a blast with it! I will buy a new Camaro when they come out as well, I like getting the best of both worlds what can I say.
Merry Christmas everyone!
And yes it was the Civic that turned out to give me one hell of a race! He was of course running a turbo setup with 18+ psi, This guy was so anxious to catch me in traffic he was probably pissing all over himself, but the good news is I did not lose we stayed even right up to 120mph, without my mods I would have been toast.

I wish i knew!
I'm dying to get out to the track soon and get some times on this puppy, Other guy's running with the same setup as me are doing 12.5-12.7, I have seen a few dipping lower but not too many, some fat rear tires would really help me right now as my first gear shred's my tires most of the time. I have to pretty much ease into my throttle through first and second gears....

No offense, but I have a hard time believing you beat any of those cars except the jap traps and other Mustangs. I've raced plenty of those new GTs and they're slow. Slow at the track, slow on the street, slow when it's wet, slow when it's dry, slow with a good driver, slow with a better driver, slow with a young driver, slow with an old crinkled raisin...
Are you sure the LSx cars were racing? I know a lot of guys out there don't bother racing a Mustang because, like I said, they're slow, and with gas prices going up, it's not worth it!
j/k Good kills.
...but it's still slow
