    2000 z28 vs 2002 z28

Just going to see what yall think the outcome would be, me and him already raced but just seeing yalls thoughts. the 00 z belongs to ldurham on here, its an m6 with stock gears has ls6 cam, 1 7/8 headers true duals dumped ls6 intake with 01-02 injectors as well, ported and polished throttle body, tr 55 plugs and msd wires, only thing going against him are his 853 heads, and he also has a dyno tune. my car basically is the same just 241 heads 1 3/4 headers, 3.73s also an m6 and i have a frost mail order tune if i miss anything ill have my sig up. What would yall think the outcome would be with no passengers.
2002 SOM Z/28 M6, Level 2 tick performance rebuilt tranny, ls7 clutch with drill mod, SLP lid, Smooth air bellow, P&P TB w/bump stop mod, TB bypass, amsoil air filter, 3.73 gears, Pro 5.0 w/lous short stick, msd super conductors, NGK TR-55 iridiums, SS long tubes, duals with x pipe 2 magnaflow bullets over axle with a frost mail order tune.

They are both basically the same car I say since both are less than desirable 6 speeds, I go with the one that doesn't miss a gear

You should have went with 4.11 gears instead of 3.73's when you swapped the stock gears out.

I'll say whoever gets out of the hole quicker.

Why guess? Go out and run em' and get it over with. I still say the one that doesn't miss a gear wins.

Not really that much of a difference going from a 3.42 to a 3.73, but glad you like them.

That was actually the whole reason of going with them cuz I like my 3.42's but just wanted somethin that would rap out just a tad quicker when I do a moser though I prolly go with 3.90's or 4.11's not too sire yet. Anyways we raced and we were dead even from 25-135ish I shifted 1st cuz of my gears and he jumped out a lil bit then he shifted and I jumped out a lil bit and that how it was we were stuck even. I thought I was going to get beat by a good .5 car to a car.

Too many variables to say either or. 400HP cars have beaten 600HP cars, blah blah.

You mentioned you have a tune as well so the big difference here, is he has an LS6 cam and you have gears.

Since I see you've raced already and it's come out pretty even, I still stand by my statement...the guy that doesn't miss a gear wins

Kind of a lot of money to spend on a DYNO tune if you aren't really benefiting over Frost's tune that much. Are you getting a discount? Adding any mods since the mail order?

Frost mail order tunes aren't anything to scoff at. They work very well. I wouldn't be scared of someones dyno dune and quite frankly doesn't mean a whole lot. Who's to say that tuner even knew what they were doing? It's just a number.

Yeah the dyno is an interesting piece of equipment, and helps with the curiosity factor if nothing else
Maybe you'll squeak a few more out of it. If you have the time and money, it doesn't hurt to try.
