2000 WS6 vs 383 LPE 1986 Vette

ok well i was on my way back home from lunch with the girlfriend and i was merging onto the 4 lane interstate just crusing when i see a C4 bodystlye corvette following me pretty close so i speed up and so does he so i figure aw its just a C4 with a bodykit and a spoiler but he gets in front of me and he has a 383 LPE Badge on the back and his car was super loud i couldnt even hear my own car and i knew i was in for it so he raised down his window and says nice car and i return the favor and i ask him what year it was and he says a 1986 LPE 383 and i said thats mean man we proceed to roll down the highway and he starts the 3 honk as soon as we both hit the gas I was in a dead spot and he walked away from me like i was standing still now i dont know how fast the 383's can be but he was flying. so we line them up again and the same result i still cant find the power band with my A4 i was still in a dead spot but this time we went longer to about 120mph and i was realin him in then we shut down. i wanted to go one more time so we went again and i find my powerband and hung at his door until he shifted then once again walkin me by about 2 cars. all in all it was fun and the guy was cool im just glad i lost to another fellow GM car and not a mustang lol jk guys. im still pretty much close to stock i have a Flowmaster exhaust,LS6 intake,3"cutout,free mods, shift kit and DR's.

A 383 in anything is fast.

The A4 is hurting you on the highway runs, however it sounds like 6 speed wasn't all you were lacking based on the way he was pulling. It doesn't take much to get big numbers out of the 383s! All-in-all, that's a good race and a VERY respectable loss!
