1967? Mustang GT 500
Pulled up to a nice and clean, mean sounding 4-speed Mustang yesterday. Light turned green and we both got on it, I pulled about a half car by the time I was at the top of 2nd gear. Didn't get to talk to him, but he was the only one in his car and I had two others, plus 160 lbs of salt and just filled the gas tank. Not sure what year it was, but it looked a lot like this one:

I've always liked most 60s muscle cars, but for the most part they really were not as fast as claimed back in the day, or memories recall!

Beautiful cars, but like anything, new or old, they have to be tinkered with to unleash any potential. A real 500 like that is a 6 figure car even in this crap economy. More than likely it was a bone stocker and probably even lucky he stepped on the gas at all.

Why would you be carrying around 160 pounds of salt????? Lucky you didnt blow up the rear end with all that weight and a hard launch. Musta been tempting to wax that ol stang though!!!!

We're having a heat wave up here, it was 80 here in PA today, he's only about half a days (~12 hours none stop) drive from me.
Maybe for weight in winter whether and it's just still in there..?

Water softener. I have well water here, and without a water softener, it's horrible. But with it, and a reverse osmosis system for drinking water, it's fine. People comment about how nice the water is.
It was 84 here yesterday, and again today!
Driving the gas-sucking convertible today, had the t-tops out for days now in the WS6. Doing my best to burn up the old tires, but they just ain't wearing down fast enough.

Well water here with a simple filtration system in the pump. It's excellent drinking water right out of the tap since up here in the mountains we drilled down 500 feet and tapped into an underground aqua fria river that runs 24-7, I'm told a natural spring (lots of those around here). Probably the same stuff they put in your bottled water

Ha. Wash your hair???? I quit that back in the 80s when it all fell off bc my cars were always so fast it blew the hair off my head!
Probably right about that. Just before we got married, my soon-to-be wife had a new well drilled. The old one was surface water, only like 15 feet deep. The new one is about 70 feet, huge amounts of water there. When they were leaving, with the bill about $2300, the drilling guy said if we would've gone down to ~175 ft (~$300 more!) we would've had some of the best water in Indiana, they've done that in our area. I was so mad....

That's what they are meant for....I pile stuff in the back of ours all the time. I've even had to fold the back seat down at times.

Yeah it's fun to beat other cars when all they have is the driver, and the F-bodies have multiple passengers. Or some weight over the rear axle for harder launches!

Solid rust free western truck That's the original paint on there (70k miles). I had to travel 2,600 miles to find that one.
I know what you mean though, these things fell apart East of the Mississippi.
