05+ Mustang GT kill?
So I was on the way to the gym driving spiritedly because of my music I was playing. So I notice this Mustang GT and I've BEEN wanting to run one. So we were both at a light and I was hoping he wanted to play. I take off like normal then I punch it and so does he. By the top of first I easily had this race locked down. I even bounced of the rev limiter. Mid of second it wasnt even gonna be a race anymore. Are they really that slow or were they a shittier driver than me? He kept up till end of first.

well there's prob a few things to consider like the driver, auto-manule, but from what I know a stock GT can't keep up

Yeah I even shifted shitty so I cant guess he'd be worse than me. If I woulda shifted when I was suppose to I woulda put another car on him.

Yeah it was a really nice lookin one too. With the 2 racing stripes in the middle. Looked pretty badass too. 10 year old cars spanking brand new V8s? FTW!

Yeah the LS1 f-bodies pretty much locked down the N/A V8 world for the $30,000 range for almost 10 years now. Not much short of turbo'd and supercharged vehicles could keep up with them. In similar classes that is.

Yeah I've definetly noticed that....Glad that I did purchase this car everytime I think of the price vs power. 10k got me slayer of 90% on the road. Not too bad.

Well for 35k and turbo'd I'd hope they would be quick. But yeah after the mid of second a car got off the freeway and decided my lane was the choice. I had to slow down and honk while the mustang did a flyby.

I do love STI's though. I think they look badass and are great cars. Just cost WAY too much for an I4.

oh yeah I know, they arn't AWD are they
-

Yeah they are AWD. If they're still the same as the previous models they have an adjustible AWD system front to back power ratio.

Yeah its pretty nuts riding in them. One minute you go from holding corners like it's on rails to drifting like a mad man. I think you can take them to something like 20% front/80% rear power.

Wow that makes them even more badass. Do you gotta get outta the car? Or is it adjustable from the drivers seat?

There's a little panel of buttons on the dash right by the steering wheel you push them and it automatically adjust to the settings you choose.

I still wouldn't get an STI. I'd rather have the rumble and torque of an American V8
