02 SS vs 97 Cobra Procharged

Well I was getting gas and I looked over and seen this Cobra sitting there with "Supercharged" on the side and I was like "Bullshit." So after I pumped my gas I sat there and waited for the owner to come out and once he got in a cranked her up...a heard a little whining at idle. So I though "Yeah here we go this is what I've been looking for." I drive over and talk to him and he said its ATI Procharged and it dyno'd 422rwhp/438rwtq. "Hell yeah, let's run'em."

We pull out onto the highway and line up and go from a dig. Both of us spun really bad, all of 1st, half of second for me. So he pulls about a car from me at 60 or so and when I got into third I started pulling on him, as I go by him, I can hear the supercharger sucking the shit out of air and I got my back fender to the front of his car at 150 and by the time I got to 170 I had about 2 cars on him.

Best race I have EVER had by another street car and man it was a blast! After the race he came up to me with both thumbs up and a smile from ear to ear and said "Man that's one badass Camaro you got there! I've never seen one run like that!"

I could be wrong but the 97 cobras came with 270hp or so.
Ford advertised 305hp when it wasn't true.

Speed is GPS verified. Thats right as I go into 6th.

Mods: Heads, Cam, lid, TB, MAF, bigger injectors, long tube headers, 3in borla catback no cats, 150 shot nitrous, 160 thermo, stage 3 clutch. Aggressive tune.

170 isn't hard to do in our cars...I guess depends on where you live? I live in flat farmland in Arkansas that has nothing but straight roads.

It dyno'd 415rwhp/432rwtq BEFORE the 150 shot. But the spray wasn't used in the race.

I guess I can understand spinning on the start. But with the mods you have I am stunned he was ever ahead of you.

Could be, I don't know what the 97 Cobra was actually rated at, but I thought it was 305HP at the crank, so it would seem the car would be in the 7psi range. I guess that sounds right now that I think about it.
