02 SS vs 03-04 cobra??

He has you covered. He might be a sh*tty driver. Somehow I doubt that, people who like to race are usually aggressive like him. You need some more mods. Maybe a good ass-whuppin' on the street will get you to spend some money in that SS. Heads and cam baby, that's where it's at.

The 03-04 Cobra is a fat b*tch. Get all the bolt-ons, and you will have a chance at beating him (if he is stock). Get a cam and gears, and its SAYONARA assh*le!

HOW THE HELL DID THIS BECOME THE FIRST POST IN THIS THREAD? IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE AFTER THE GUY WITH THE LIGHTNING.

I dont know that much about the 03-04 cobras, but arent they putting around 390hp?? He's came by my house a few times an reved, I never do see him when Im in my car though. I have a feeling he'll beat me, but how bad? Isnt there a weight difference between my car and his? Either way, it'll be fun to find out. I'm basically stock, w/ loudmouth2, and hypertech3 prog.

He cant drive all that well but still you might have a chance.

In other words, DON'T FU@KIN BOTHER. You either spend money or steer clear

of that Cobra to aviod embarrassment. Oh, and if Cobra guy has a pulley, then save your mod money and sell your SS for an 03-04 Cobra. Chances are that EVERY 03-04 Cobra driven buy a 20 something guy has at least the pulley. You can't win.

Face it. They are BEASTS.

race him anyway, dont puss out and hide from a mustang! i got my sh*t pushed in by an 04 cobra that ran consistent 10.9's! But hell at least they know yer not scared. u only have NO chance of winning if u dont race!

btw, everyone needs a good 6-8 car-legth ass whoopin every now and then, makes you go buy more go-fast parts!! good luck !

beasts my ass, put a blower on an ls1 and thats a beast. heck ive seen z06s beat them all day long.

Yes they are BEASTS stock. I've seen Z06s go down too with just a mildly modded Cobra. Imagine a pulley, full exhaust, tune, and gears on them. I believe a blower on the LS1 would be a mistake. At 10:1 compression already, your gonna deal with tuning and reliability issues. For what? The sake of possibly beating one today to only break down on the trip home? Naaw, save the mod money and be happy with your f body or trade off for the Cobra. Then have a blast modding it up to 550hp with a tune and simple bolt ons. Drive it to work an back.

Great, he knows your not scared the first time he stomps your loaf maker in. He also knows he owns you. The second time you wanna race he'll laugh you down cuz you can't beat him. When that happens, you should experience the most painful embarrassing feeling of your life. You suddenly aren't worth it and no fun to beat. There is no threat. I say go in knowing you COULD take him

or leave it alone. Getting beat buy 6-8 car lengths just see where you measure up is just beating on your car.

But really.. wouldnt a Turbo on a Ls1 be enough to run a Cobra besides spraying
