01 SS vs SVT Ford P/U

Mods are in my sig... Was pulling out from the 76 near my work when a black SVT P/U rolled by and blipped the throttle at me, at first I sorta chuckled, I mean they can be quick out of the hole and all but....
Then he rev's again and chirps the tires just off my door after I am on the road. "It's On ~" is what I am thinking, I grip the wheel, scope for Renton's Finest and drop it back to (D). I ease a lane over, he rolls strong and hard up along side me again. I just started to roll the window down to ask if he wanted three honks and he Tromps the gas....Sounded nice. Real nice. He gets to my front bumper by the time my reaction / acceleration stops his pull.
I get into second and reel him back to my door, halfway through third (drive) I have perhaps a foot past his bumper with mine, then simply ran out of road/time.
Ain't much, but was good fun !! Truck sounded burly, is that typical of the Lightning series ? I don't know much about them, only what I have read.
So someone tell me if I was merely wasting gas or if he was really a contender ?

cant see ur mods...but lightnings can be made very quick...prob on average the more mildly modded ones you run into will be runnin somewhere mid 13's but there are some out there that are deep into 12's...but you dont see many

Lightnings sound sick and are sick in fact. I pretended I was gonna trade in my TA at a ford stealership just to test drive it. 5.4 supercharged liters sounds fast to me... too bad they're automatic only

haha ok. I can't think of any other truck I'd want more. definitely not that srt10 ram POS. 50 grand for a truck with a viper motor when you can spend 20 grand on a lightning and another 5 or 6 thousand to make it a ten second car...err truck
