i didnt mean to kill the dodge intentially but i ended it, the other morning i was headed to work and came to the stop light and i was the front of the line, well me bein gme gave it a nice shove off the line when it turned green nothing dramatic or anyting. and i jus thit second when i hear this Vrooooooooo next to me, and its this dodge ram thats always hauling on the road and through town, i look up and hes got this Huuuuge grin on his face looking at me and then turns straight and hammers on it, welll..... bad news.... for him were rollin 30-40 i Hit it, mine kicks down and gives a 3 little tire chirps and tackin 4200-4500 all he sees is a black truck pulling him by 1.5 car lengths, i let off it bout 70 let him go by because my turns coming up fast and all i see is this little embaressed wave and looking ahead look stare. i guess i been baiting him because i usually let him by, whos in a hurry to go to work ? i wonder what stories was told around his water cooler that day

i dont know how to explain it, mine and another friends truck just haul ass, every other 5.3 i have drove has been pokey but still pulls good, his pulls hard as hell and mine reves up fast as hell. i have a k&m and a single in dual out dumped flow same as his, the only other truck that has kept up with ours is one that has been programed. also i dont know if it has anything to do with it, but both our trucks has been totaled.

the 01 dodge didn't hace the hemi, it was either a 318 or 360 both were LA series engines, neither of them were very fast stock, if you would have run a 4.7L it would have been close, but if it were a hemi, you would have been killed bad, that is unless you are blown and have alot of mods. You want some real fun? next time you're at a stop light pick on a dodge with the big "C" on the fender and the "BANKS POWER" emblem underneath it.GOOD TIMES

also chevy did offer a high output 5.3 from 99-2002 and it jumped up the HP from 285 to 300hp,maybe that's what you and your friend have. the 318 had 235hp and the 360 had 245 in a truck that outwieghs yours by 500-1000lbs, depending on whether it was a 2500 or not. the hemi has 345 hp, and with the 3rd and 4th gen. trucks dodge has lightened them up quite a bit with IFS, a stock hemi at sea level is a mid 15 second truck.
